Ryouta: This is… a lot fancier than I expected.
Kazuaki: Hmm, I don't see anybirdie. I wonder if it's closed now…?
Ryouta: Yeah. It's clean and orderly, but… I don't get the feeling that it's still in use. There was a fire somewhere down here five years ago, and since then the whole facility's been shut up--
Kazuaki: I suppose they froze whatever project they were working on…
Ryouta: Hey, Anghel. Which way do you think we should go to find the doctor?
Anghel: That would be…ah! My Crimson Breast murmurs! The Midnight Hunter approaches!
and then THIS THING comes and starts swinging at them!
Ryouta: C-couldn't you have said so earlier!?
Kazuaki: Oh dear. If we don't get past him, we can't go on.
Anghel: We cannot reach Wallenstein without first defeating his dark servant… this trial cannot be avoided!
Ryouta: But all we've ever managed to do is run away from this thing! How can we--
Scarecrow: Hyu…hyuo…hyu… (attacks!)
Kazuaki: We can't get anywhere just by running away… do we have any sort of weapon?
Ryouta: A weapon…? I do have the stun gun mister Leone lent me… Will it even work on a scarecrow…?
Kazuaki: Maybe not at normal output… But it looks like a living creature, so I doubt it would be completely unaffected.
Anghel: The Midnight Hunter is a hound bred from the Black Void. We must purify it with holy water!
Kazuaki: Oh, yes! That's a good idea.
Ryouta: Wh-what? What did he even say!?
Kazuaki: There's a fire hose on the wall, there. If we time it right…
(Mister Nanaki wobbles towards the wall, and pulls out the hose.)
Ryouta: …of course!
Kazuaki: Ready…
(He points the hose at the scarecrow, and opens the valve.)
Ryouta: Anghel, sir! Get back! (I set the stung to maximum, and hurl it at the scarecrow!)
Scarecrow: …hyu…hyugo…hyu… ……
(It collapses with an unpleasant noise. Its electrified metal arm twitches for a moment, but then it is still.)
Ryouta: We did it!
Kazuaki: Electricity is a powerful thing indeed…
Anghel: The Thunderous Voice of Doom… Judgment has come!
Scarecrow: Hyu…o, o…oa… …o… ………
Ryouta: Goodbye, mister scarecrow. …onwards!
and that's it! What's not in the script is a a certain feeling of... subdued excitement? to be going down into the basement. He won't remember the details, but he knows he's been there before.
